Expressing Opinions: penso che / credo che / secondo me
Italian has two main strategies for sharing opinions. 'Penso che' (I think that) and 'credo che' (I believe that) require the present subjunctive in the clause that follows — the verb form changes. 'Secondo me' (in my opinion) takes the normal indicative and is easier for conversation. Both are essential for talking about characters, stories, or anything you have a view on.
