In Mandarin, 因为 (yīnwèi, because) introduces the reason, and 所以 (suǒyǐ, therefore) introduces the result. Both connectors are usually stated together — unlike English, which uses only one. This structure is essential for explaining why you admire, like, or feel something about a character.
