One grammar move, explained once, that unlocks dozens of sentences.

Accusative Case for Direct Objects in Shopping

In Polish, the direct object of most verbs — what you buy, want, recommend, or take — appears in the accusative case. For feminine nouns, the nominative -a ending changes to -ę. For inanimate masculine nouns, the nominative and accusative are often identical. Adjectives also change to match. This case is essential for any shopping or transaction context.

Verb + [noun-accusative] (e.g. kupić + grę, wziąć + wersję, polecić + tytuł)

Chcę kupić tę grę.

I want to buy this game.

Polecam tę konsolę.

I recommend this console.

Widzę nowy tytuł na wystawie.

I see a new title in the display.

Wezmę wersję na PC.

I'll take the PC version.
